How To Put On Make-up And Accentuate Your Natural Beauty

You do not have to be a professional to be able to apply your own makeup in a way that is attractive and accentuates your natural beauty. It does not have to take a lot of time, either. Use these simple steps to learn how to put on make-up correctly and turn heads with your glamorous look.

When an artist begins painting, he does not start with a spattered or blotchy canvas, right? Just in this way, you need to make sure that when you are preparing to apply makeup that you are starting with a clean canvas. If you will keep up a good skincare regimen, you will find that your skin will stay clearer and your complexion will be prettier. This is the first step to maintaining beautiful skin and your makeup will be even more beneficial.

Start with a good foundation. It is a good idea to use a foundation containing an SPF. You could choose to apply a sun block, but this will possibly make your makeup look heavy and cakey. To avoid this you can simply use a foundation with SPF and combine the two steps, which also saves you time.

Foundation should match your skin tone as closely as possible. Nothing is more unattractive than having a face that is an entirely different color than the rest of your skin. All of us have seen the woman with the orange face syndrome. It would be a good idea to have a makeup consultation with a professional at least once for this reason: to help you find the perfect shade of foundation for your complexion.

Apply the foundation in circular movements with your fingers or a cosmetic sponge, using small amounts. Remember that a little can go a long way and do not plaster your face with foundation more than necessary. Use it to cover imperfections and give you a smoother look.

Making your eyes pop is perhaps the greatest thing that makeup does for us. Use a good base, usually a light color that goes all over the lower eye lid. For the easiest and most attractive eye shadow, choose two colors that compliment each other and go with your outfit. For instance, you could use cream and brown. Apply the cream shadow all over the lower lid, and use the brown to highlight the outer corner of the lid and the crease above your eye. Use eyeliner to line the upper lid of your eyes and then if you really wish to make your eyes stand out you can use the brown shadow to line the top eyelid over the liner.

Blush can give you a touch of color, but careful not to overdo it. Choose a color that matches the flush of your cheeks when you are hot. Smile at yourself in the mirror and use a large brush to blend the blush from the apple of your cheeks to the hairline.

Many women all over the world wears makeup every day and has worn it for many years. Many women also have to deal with acne and clogged pores because of heavy and unhealthy makeup. Now mineral cosmetics have taken over the makeup isles and are provided in many stores everywhere. Women have demanded mineral makeup now that they have had the opportunity to use it and see the reactions and benefits of it. Not only is skin cleaner and healthier, but also women have found that it is smoother and their pores are cleaner throughout the day. Vitamin infused makeup could be a new beginning for your face and pores.

If you apply makeup every day, there is more of a chance for you to have clogged pores and dirt filled pores. Facial cleaners can usually fix any dirt or bacteria problem, but in some cases faces are not washed daily or cleansers are not strong enough to take care of those acne problems. For years, women, performers, and anybody who had to wear a heavy base have been waiting and hoping for something lighter and easier to wear throughout the day. Now this kind of makeup exists and many stores and different labels offer the new makeup for consumers to buy.

Lighter makeup can give your face a break from full plaster-like makeup. Giving your face some time to soak in a few natural rays of light is really healthy and can prevent dry or oily skin. Lighter makeup can also serve as a sun shield with sunscreen added in. The lighter make-ups will usually be a powder, which means it will spread nicely over your face, giving your face a smoother and more even tone. Models, actresses, and now people just like you have taken full advantage of this new look. The new organic look is what is popular and many people are going for it.

The nice thing about this new kind of makeup is that it is not overly priced and it is actually affordable. It used to be available in infomercials and for special professional clientele base only, but now it is available through many different brand of makeup at several different stores that are of simple access to you. The makeup is about as much as your old makeup which means that you are receiving benefits only, which is a great upgrade from makeup that only makes your face more prone to problems.

Switching your makeup is not a difficult thing to do especially when it does not affect you economically and only benefits you and your skin. You will not only feel better about your skin but your skin will be cleaner, shinier, and healthier and it will look better in general. Makeup is a common product, so if you have to use it every day, it would be a good idea to use the best kind available. You will see the results in your skin the more and more that you use the makeup because it works its wonders over time. You will not once go back to your old products again!

Natural Skin Care Products. Do The Ingredients Matter?

March 20, 2010 by Peter Albertonach

The ingredients of natural skin care products don’t matter as long as they work. Is that right? Are natural skin care ingredients irrelevant as long as the products work? Lets have a look at this as I saw that exact comment recently on a skincare website.

I dont care whats in it as long as it works.

Why is there such a consumer movement towards natural skin care products? There seem to be 2 reasons.

1. Gradually people are realizing that there really are many naturally occurring ingredients that are excellent for your skin.

Theres now no doubt about that. In the past I have talked about Phytessence Wakame for example. This is a seaweed found in Japan that has extraordinary properties that are excellent for skin health, and this is one of the major reasons why Japanese women have such good skin. They eat the important ingredient.

A second example is Shea Butter, the oil from a tree found in Africa called the Shea tree. It is a very good natural moisturizer. There’s many more examples of naturally occurring substances that are very good for your skin and as good, often better, than the ingredients found in mainstream skin care products.

2. And more and more consumers are also finding out that there can be dangerous ingredients in big brand skin care products. Often because the more natural alternative is way more expensive than a chemical alternative.

I have also written extensively about the dangerous ingredients that can be found in skin care products and cosmetics, (and some so called natural skin care products too).

So there are what I consider the 2 major reasons why people are turning to more natural alternatives. So it would seem that natural skin care ingredients do matter.

You the consumer wants SAFE ingredients and EFFECTIVE ingredients. So the whole consumer movement towards all natural and organic skincare products is driven by a concern about what INGREDIENTS are in them.

We demand safe and effective products.

Do all natural skin care products contain only safe and effective ingredients? No sadly.

But there is a process that you can go through to find the best natural skin care products that have ingredients that are both safe and effective. Ive done that and we are fully convinced that there are some outstandingly effective, and safe, natural skin care products available.

The best are made by a company that is a signatory to the Compact For Safe Cosmetics, and most importantly all the ingredients are listed clearly on their website so you can check what’s in the products.

That’s persuasive. I’ll tell you the name of the company on my website.

Nothing has been found to entirely eliminate acne scarring. Still, an knowledge of your skin may assist in relieving your acne problem s potential long-term ruins.

Acne is the result of a reaction between bacteria and sebum released by the glands present in skin, leading to an infection. During the healing process of this condition, a fibrous protein called collagen is formed. When the collagen is in excess, there is a swelling and when its generation is below normal then it results in tiny craters on the skin. Acne scars develop in both these situations. Teenagers are commonly most prone to acne as the hormone levels increase during puberty causing more sebum discharge.

An acne scar is a result of our tissue s ability to revive itself after suffering an injury. After the human skin sustains injuries, which includes acne, the body tries to mend the busted tissue. However, the tissue cannot always be repaired to its pre-injury state. There in truth is no exact work relating why some individuals finish up with acne scars and why some simply do not. Best Skincare Ideas For Healthy Clear Skin

Healthy skin is really one of the most important ingredients for beauty-enhancement. This article on skin care ideas is an effort to bring the 10 best natural skin care ideas to you. The list of skin care tips has been restricted to 10 because anything more that that would not only be difficult to remember, but also shadow the more important skincare ideas. So let’s see what these leading ten skincare tips are:

* Knowing your skin type is one of the most important skincare tip. This is important because not every skincare product suits everyone. In fact, all the skincare products specify the type of skin they cater too.

* ‘Drink a lot of water’. This will not keep your skin moist but will help in overall upkeep of your health (and in turn your skin). It might seem a bit awkward to some, however, this is an important skincare tip.

* Cleanse your skin regularly (1-2 times everyday). A very effective skin care tip that helps in getting rid of the dirt and other harsh elements from your skin. Cleansing is especially important when you have been out of your house (and hence exposed to pollutants, dust etc). This skin care tip also advocates the use of Luke warm water for cleansing (hot and cold water, both, cause damage to your skin)

* Be gentle, after all it’s your skin. Don’t scrub/exfoliate too hard or too often. Similarly, don’t apply too much or too many skincare products. A must-to-follow natural skin care tip.

* Keep your skin moist at all times. This is one of the most important skin care tip. Don’t let your skin get dry. Dryness causes the outer layer of your skin to break, leading to a rough and unattractive appearance. Use moisturizers/ emollients. Moisturizers work best when applied while the skin is still damp.

* Avoid the use of soap on your face. Soap should only be used from below the neck. A small but important skin care tip.

* Use sunscreen to protect yourself from sun’s harmful UV radiations. You can use day-time moisturizers that have sunscreen built into them. Use them even when it’s cloudy. UV radiations are known to cause skin cancer, so follow this skin care tip without fail.

* A bit of exercise and good sleep are essential too, not just for skincare but for your health as a whole. Lack of sleep can lead to formation of wrinkles below your eyes and lack of exercise can cause your skin to slack. Moreover, exercise and sleep also help in beating stress. So besides being a skin care tip, this is also a health care tip.

* Treat skin dilemmas with care. This natural skin care tip is about not ignoring any skin dilemmas. Consult your dermatologist before you go on to use a skin care product (lest you do end up harming your skin even more).

* Beat the stress. The harmful effects of stress are known to everyone, however, sometimes stating the obvious is essential too (and hence this skin care tip found its place here). Yes, stress harms skin too. So, take a break or indulge in a warm bubble bath or just get good sleep.
